Britain’s George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris will duel for victory in Sunday’s British Grand Prix in a race not to be missed live on Sky Sports F1 and Sky Showcase at 3pm.
In a first for the British GP at Silverstone, which is staging its 58th F1 race on Sunday, the top three positions on the grid have been locked out by home drivers.
Austrian GP victor Russell heads Hamilton, the record eight-time British GP winner, on an all-Mercedes front row with McLaren’s Lando Norris just behind in third
With world champion Max Verstappen lurking just behind his three British rivals in fourth place after saving a second-row berth with a damaged car, a thrilling 52-lap race around one of F1’s fastest and most historic circuits is in store.
Oh, and there’s the potential for more rain and unpredictable conditions too!
You won’t want to miss any of the action and you can watch the race from Silverstone for free on Sky Showcase, if you have a Sky box, and on Sky Sports F1.
McLaren haven’t won the British Grand Prix since Hamilton’s memorable victory in the wet in 2008, but Norris will be desperate to respond after numerous near misses in recent events. While Russell ended Mercedes’ 18-month victory drought last week in Austria, Hamilton has not won in F1 since December 2021.
Norris trails Verstappen by 81 points in the drivers’ championship and needs to start reeling in the deficit to stand a realistic chance of challenging for the title later this year.
