But it appears the trip may have took its toll when Rylan returned back to the UK only to be faced with an early start. Taking to his Instagram Story, he shared a snap of himself, with his blonder locks on full display, but with a bronze face mask covering his face. “On set. Love and early start,” he typed alongside a sick face emoji.

It comes after Rylans said he “bawled like a baby” during the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris. The 35-year-old recounted how he became emotional while witnessing music icon Celine Dion’s performance at the Eiffel Tower. This marked the first time the 56-year-old singer graced the stage since her announcement of being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022.

This rare neurological disorder leads to muscle stiffness and rigidity. Dion had previously opened up about her battle with the condition, which she feared might end her performing career, in her documentary “I Am Celine Dion.” Nonetheless, Dion triumphantly returned last Friday night (July 26), delivering a stunning finale to the over four-hour-long opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. She sang Edith Piaf’s classic “L’Hymne a l’amour” from the tower’s first level.

On his Radio 2 programme, Rylan on Saturdays, the beloved TV host revealed that Dion’s performance had a profound effect on him. He shared: “It was so beautiful. Like I bawled like a baby.” He continued, expressing his awe: “I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. On the Eiffel Tower, just, my goodness. She was told she would never sing again.”
