British athletes to watch on 2 August at Paris 2024: Bryony Page, Emily Craig & Imogen Grant, and Jack Laugher

Bryony Page won Team GB’s first ever Olympic medal in trampoline with silver at Rio 2016, resulting in an emotional reaction from the silver medallist in the women’s individual event in Brazil.

At Tokyo 2020, another podium with bronze, but heading into the competition at the Bercy Arena in Paris as the reigning world champion, Page has her sights set on top spot and more happy tears.

Emily Craig and Imogen Grant finished off the podium in fourth by an agonising 0.01s in the women’s lightweight double sculls in Tokyo. Ever since then, the pair have won every race and have no intention of missing out this time around at the Olympic Nautical Stadium of Ile-de-France.

The duo have won back-to-back World and European titles, and every World Cup in which they have raced. A world best time of 6:40.47 was also secured at the second World Rowing Cup of the 2023 season in Varese, culminating in a prestigious Women’s Crew of the Year accolade at the World Rowing Awards. The mission is on.

Jack Laugher and 3m synchro partner Chris Mears became Britain’s first-ever diving Olympic champions, claiming a historic gold at Rio 2016. A silver medal followed in the individual event, and bronze in Tokyo.

The World silver medallists in 3m synchro in 2022 and 2023, Laugher and Harding will be hoping to replicate a podium place at the Aquatics Centre, which, along with Le Bourget Climbing Wall, is the only permanent sports facility to be built for the Paris 2024 Games.
