Former Great Britain captain Jamie Peacock is one of four players who will be inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame next month.

Jane Banks, Michelle Land and Paul Sculthorpe will also be recognised at a ceremony in Wigan.

Their inductions take the number of players in the sport’s hall of fame to 41 – 36 men and five women.

“All four represented their clubs and their country with distinction throughout their playing careers and acted as inspirational role models to countless numbers of young players,” said Rugby Football League chief executive Tony Sutton.

Forward Peacock made 57 appearances for England and Great Britain and won nine Grand Finals across trophy-laden spells with Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos.

The versatile Banks made her Great Britain debut in 1998 aged 17 and had spells with Warrington Ladies, Hindley Pumas and Bradford Thunderbirds.

Land, who played at hooker or half-back, was capped 16 times and captained Wakefield Panthers for 14 years.

Two-time Man of Steel-winner Sculthorpe won three Grand Finals, three Challenge Cups and three World Club Challenge titles with St Helens.
