Having already supported 90,000 students over the past two years, Hyundai will continue to offer additional bursaries to help schools most in need.
These bursaries can be used towards booking fees and travel costs to help support educational visits. Applications are now open for schools to apply by clicking here.
While all schools are eligible to apply, priority will be given based on EDI criteria, such as the percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals.
Schools can register on the GBST website and will be asked a few questions before being able to access all the website content and apply for a bursary.
“Kids learn best by doing and therefore we mustn’t underestimate the value of hands-on learning experiences, which is why initiatives such as the Great British School Trip are so important.”
Reggie Yates, television presenter
Over 600 venues have joined forces with the Great British School Trip programme to offer memorable experiences, including Peak Activity Centres, The YHA, Disney Theatrical and The V&A, among others.
Hyundai also launched a National School Trips Week this year (29th April – 5th May) which saw more than 8,000 pupils out on a range of educational experiences.
Television presenter, Reggie Yates, who helped launch the week, said: “When I was younger, I couldn’t stand being cooped up in a classroom. I craved action outdoors. In fact, a particular trip that sparked me wanting to get into the career I do now was visiting the Natural History Museum, followed by a trip to the cinema to see Jurassic Park!

Hyundai has invested £1m in the programme, launched in 2022, to inspire children aged seven to 14, and to help them shape their future goals.
