The national governing body for archery in Great Britain is searching for a new national head coach to lead its development and high performance programmes towards the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Based at the performance archery centre in Lilleshall (Shropshire), the full-time role is responsible for delivering high-level coaching and performance planning to raise standards at all levels – from grassroots to elite levels – of both athletes and coaches.
The successful candidate will have certifications in high performance coaching, a proven track record in training world-class archers, experience in mentoring coaches, and strong leadership qualities.
The deadline for applications is 5 January 2025.
Archers from Great Britain won two medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Jodie Grinham became the first pregnant athlete to win a Paralympic medal, with bronze in the compound women’s individual event. She and Nathan MacQueen also collected compound mixed team gold, making her the first pregnant Paralympic Champion.
The nation has won four individual bronze medals at the Games in the modern Olympic era, courtesy Alison Williamson in Athens 2004, Simon Terry in Barcelona 1992 and the recurve men’s team in 1992 and Seoul 1988.
