Andrew Tate’s UK Election bid hits a snag, his party ‘Bruv’ gets suspended on X – World News

Andrew Tate recently encountered issues with Elon Musk’s X platform. Shortly after launching his political party, “BRIJV,” and announcing plans to run for prime minister, the party’s official handle was abruptly suspended without explanation. Tate had shared the party’s charter in a post on X, promising to resign if he failed to fulfill his commitments and emphasising his accountability.

Following the suspension, the former kickboxer tagged Elon Musk in a post, questioning the billionaire about the account’s removal. After a short period, the BRIJV handle was restored, prompting Tate to thank Musk publicly. In his reaction, Tate reiterated his mission to “bring greatness back to Britain.”

Responding to the post, Musk clarified that he was unaware of the reason behind the suspension but confirmed the issue had been resolved.

Rise of digital influencers in politics

Tate highlighted the growing role of digital influencers in shaping political landscapes. As an example, he pointed to Fidias Panayiotou, a Greek Cypriot YouTuber known as @Fidias0, who recently leveraged his online popularity to secure a seat in the European Union Parliament.

This shift reflects how social media influencers are stepping into politics, using their platforms to engage with voters in new and unconventional ways.

Public discontent with traditional leaders

Tate’s announcement comes at a time when trust in traditional politicians is at an all-time low. Many voters are turning to unconventional leaders who reflect their frustrations and demand change.

Political analysts note a broader trend where social media serves as a springboard for leaders with massive online followings, challenging the dominance of established politicians.

In his tweet, Tate insisted on his sincerity about running for office, stating, “I am 100% serious. I am in the next election.” Some speculated his declaration might be a publicity stunt, but Tate dismissed such claims.

While his political program remains unclear, Tate’s statements resonate with anti-establishment sentiments. His vast online fan base could give him a unique advantage in rallying support.
