Articles about Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands to reach almost 4M across Britain

Five travel journalists from Britain are visiting Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

The journalists’ publications and online platforms have an audience of 3.9 million across Britain. Their action-packed itinerary includes a cruise on the Shannon on a cruiser that now uses HVO sustainable fuel, a guided walking tour of Athlone, Clonmacnoise and Lough Key Forest Park.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We were delighted to invite this group of British travel journalists to visit Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, to experience this beautiful part of our island for themselves. Their print and online articles will reach around 3.9 million people across Britain, inspiring their readers to visit Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands over the coming months and in 2025.”
