Clark Set to Represent Great Britain at U-23 Baseball World Cup – Duke University

DURHAM, N.C. – Senior infielder Wallace Clark is set to represent Great Britain and Duke baseball at the 2024 WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup, hosted in Shaoxing, China.
 
The WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup is a prestigious international tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). It features teams composed of players aged 23 and under, providing a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills on a global stage.
 
Great Britain, with its rich baseball heritage dating back to the early 20th century, is poised to make waves on the international baseball scene. In the current season, Great Britain’s baseball program has seen promising performances from standout players, including Clark. In 2024, Clark started all 60 games at shortstop for the Blue Devils, posting a .285 average the plate, 53 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, and five home runs.
 
The WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup is set to begin on Sept. 6, at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Culture Center. Clark and Great Britain are slated in Group A with Australia, China, Colombia, Japan and Puerto Rico. All games can be streamed on the GameTime App home of the WBSC World Cup.
