Europe’s stunning little country that’s still a beautiful 25C in October

A beautiful European country known for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture is one of the best places to visit in October. Malta offers beautiful beaches, historic temples, and a lively tourism scene, making it a popular destination for travellers.

And to top everything, the place sees warmer temperatures in October. The maximum temperature in Malta in this month goes up to 25C making it an ideal place for tourists.

It has been influenced by various civilisations, including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, and the British. Its capital, Valletta, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its well-preserved baroque architecture.

The island boasts sun-soaked beaches, clear azure waters, and a rich cultural tapestry influenced by various empires, from the Phoenicians to the British.

Valletta, the island’s fortified capital, is a baroque masterpiece filled with museums, churches, and palaces.

Beyond the cities, Malta offers ancient ruins like the Ħaġar Qim temples, coastal cliffs, and quaint fishing villages.

With a thriving culinary scene, lively festivals, and excellent diving spots, Malta is perfect for history buffs and sun-seekers alike.

Tourists can pay a visit to Mdina, the silent, walled city with narrow streets and medieval charm.

A tourist wrote on TripAdvisor travel forum: “Great place for a holiday. This time, it was my third visit, I went to the Silent City.

“What an interesting place, full of history, and yet still a living city. Great places to eat, fantastic views, and a sense of this has been here for thousands of years. Well worth the time to visit, and worth repeat visits too which you can not always say about everywhere.”

Another tourist commented: “If you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary place to travel to then this should definitely be on your list! I flew from Rome to Malta. The island is pristine and beautiful. The people are friendly and very laid back.

“Malta is not the place to be if you are in a hurry so if you are going on a tour get an early start as nothing moves quickly in Malta. It is a little on the expensive side but well worth it.”

A third user chimed in: “Malta is a place I go to nearly every year. I first went when my children were small and we were looking for somewhere warm with good beaches that weren’t too expensive. A bonus is that everyone speaks English.

“We still return to the north of the island because it is quieter than the south. There is something for everyone: prehistoric temples and caves, beautiful churches and architecture, water sports and safe beaches for swimming, an incredible history including the important part that the Maltese people played in W.W.2, great food and drink, night-life for those who want it and most of all there is very little crime and you feel safe where ever you go.”
