Kate Middleton and Prince William appeared in a video alongside high-profile British figures to congratulate Team Great Britain on their success at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday. Great Britain’s Olympians won a total of 65 medals, including 14 gold medals. Middleton’s last public appearance came during the 2024 Wimbledon men’s singles final last July.

In the video, the Princess of Wales opted for a piece by an American fashion company. The British royal wore the “Tori” Breton Stripe Top from Ralph Lauren. The allover horizontal navy blue stripe with cream cotton base top featured a boat neck and long sleeves.

“From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB,” Middleton said in the video. “Well done on all you’ve achieved,” said Prince William, adding, “you’re an inspiration to us all.” The caption of the couple’s video also highlighted their praise for Great Britain’s Olympians. “Well done [Team GB], what an incredible journey. Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud,” the caption reads.

Ben Sherman returned as the outfitter for Team Great Britain for the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking the 20th anniversary of the first time the British clothing brand outfitted Great Britain’s Olympians. “This time, the designs reflect the evolving landscape of British fashion and cultural identity. 2024 also marked the ninth time Ralph Lauren served as the official outfitter for Team USA. The American fashion company not only designed uniforms for Team USA to wear during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ralph Lauren also debuted a series of Villagewear pieces and attire that could be purchased to support Team USA.

Throughout the 2024 Paris Olympics, celebrities and high-profile attendees wore pieces of Ralph Lauren’s Olympics apparel. Both Kendall Jenner and Vanessa Bryant were seen wearing the official Flag Bearer Jacket when they attended events for the American women’s gymnastics team and the American women’s basketball team.

The Princess of Wales’ own style consistently merges current trends and designers with an approach to fashion that favors elegant lines and classic silhouettes.
