Sue Barker revealed she “can’t wait” as the former BBC presenter will reunite with her former co-stars in a huge announcement. The quiz trio are reuniting for A Question of… Live tour which will feature rounds and challenges familiar to viewers.
Sue, 68, will be joined by team captains Matt Dawson, 51, and Phil Tufnell, 58, as they embark on a UK tour. A panel of special guests will feature in the live shows, taking place across England in towns and cities including London, Oxford and Manchester.
Audience members will get a chance to test their sporting knowledge, much like the former television series.
The sporting legends will share stories from their time on screen as well as behind-the-scenes tales from their careers.
Sue gushed: “I am thrilled to be reuniting with Matt and Phil. We love a quiz. We love a laugh. Can’t wait!”
Matt mused: “I am delighted to be going on tour with Sue and Tuffers and welcoming back some of our favourite sporting guests from over the years.”
Phil added: “I can’t wait to get back on the road with the dream team of Sue, Matt and me! Good luck Sue in looking after Matt and me and all our great guests.”
The tour will kick off at Brighton Centre on March 1 and will conclude on March 23 at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall in 2025.
The trio presented their last series of Question of Sport in 2021.
Paddy McGuinness replaced Sue as the host of A Question of Sport that same year.
Sam Quek and Ugo Monye were also introduced as new team captains, replacing Matt and Phil.
In 2023 the BBC confirmed the sports programme had been shelved after more than 50 years on air.
The corporation said production on the show had stopped, and that “difficult decisions” had been necessary.
But a BBC spokesman insisted it was “not the final whistle” and the programme could come back in the future.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on Wednesday October 9 at 10am and special guests will soon be announced.
