The UK city home to Europe’s biggest food hall to bring ‘centre back to life’

This city in the UK is seriously underrated and Europe’s biggest food hall just opened there this year.

Sheffield is a bustling city, home to an incredible sense of community and an exciting array of things to do and see.

Cambridge Street Collective, its impressive food hall, has not even been open for a year yet and it is already hugely popular.

One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “We enjoyed our visit to this food collective, there’s food everybody can enjoy. I went for the pork Gyro which was served on a tin tray, and was reasonably priced at £14 for a very good sized portion.

“Alcoholic drinks were expensive but in line with city centre prices. I was pleased to see this very cool regeneration of rundown old buildings. Hopefully this will continue and bring Sheffield centre back to life.”

The warehouse building has an urban feel, it offers a diverse range of cuisines and an exciting atmosphere.

If you’re planning to visit Sheffield, seeing the Peak District is a must. By car, you can get out into the beautiful surrounding nature of the city in less than 20 minutes from the city centre.

Some great spots you can visit are the Rivelin Valley Trail, Stanage Edge and Bamford Edge.

One person who visited Stanage Edge on TripAdvisor said: “What a fabulous place to be! Amazing views of the beautiful surrounding hills and valleys of the Peak District. Various choices of routes to the top of Stanage Edge are available, but once you’re at the top, the view simply takes your breath away.”

In the city centre itself, you can take a walk around the shops, visit the Peace Gardens and the Winter Garden.

Another urban area of the city to look around is Kelham Island. The neighbourhood has been named by Time Out as one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods.

The once industrial area has been redeveloped into an area with charm, character and newfound life.

You’ll find a range of pubs and independent bars hidden throughout its streets, if you’re looking for a nice place for dinner, Italian restaurant, Domo, will not disappoint.
