Drivers have been warned to expect bumper-to-bumper traffic due to a series of closures on major motorways over the next four days.
Motorists travelling on the M25, M4, and M1 could face long queues as numerous diversions are implemented.
National Highways has advised those using these busy routes to be aware of overnight closures from today until Wednesday, July 24.
Many of the works will result in diversions from 8pm until 6am.
Tonight, travellers on the M25 will find both the clockwise and anti-clockwise Junction 27 link road to M11 Southbound Junction 6 closed for jacking and de-jacking.
This route will be closed from 8.30pm until to 5.30am.
Additionally, Junction 8 to Junction 9 clockwise will be shut down for resurfacing work, with diversion signs in place to help drivers navigate the closure from 10.30 pm to 5.30am.
On the M1, motorists will encounter a southbound carriageway closure at Junction 18.
Another closure will be present from Junction 31 to Junction 30 southbound for reconstruction works.
Further disruption is expected between Junction 35a and Junction 42 southbound from 9.15 pm to 6am.
On the M4, drivers have been warned to plan for diversion routes at Junction 4b eastbound to M25 Junction 15 in both directions.
Potential travel chaos could be seen on the M25 next week too, as the clockwise and anti-clockwise link roads to M40 Northbound is planning carriageway closures.
Maintenance works will see alternative routes operational from 10pm until 6am.
Meanwhile, drivers behind the wheel from Junction 20 to Junction 21 clockwise are set to find several closures.
