After posting $17.9 million in revenue in May 2024 and $18.5 million in June 2024, West Virginia saw an increase of over $1 million compared to May, posting $19.1 million in July 2024.
Compared to July 2023, this was a 77% increase.
West Virginia online casino has experienced its best year-on-year revenue growth in almost two years. The $19.1 million posted in July 2024 would’ve been an all-time high if not for the $20.68 million in revenue in March 2024.
As for licenses, Greenbrier and Charles Town sat atop the state, separated by just 1%.
Mountaineer Casinos, which is affiliated with BetRivers and Caesars, is holding its own. Mountaineer posted $3.9 million in revenue, an all-time high for the licensee. Now, Mountaineer possesses a market share closing in at 20% and 19.4%.
One thing we don’t know in West Virginia is what the specific online casino is drawing revenue-wise. States like New Jersey post these numbers, but this isn’t the case in West Virginia.
